Civil Service Commission

The North Royalton Civil Service Commission is a three-member board, appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by City Council, and is responsible for administering tests for entry-level and promotional fire and police positions within the City of North Royalton. This body also prescribes, amends and enforces rules for civil service positions within the City.

Members include President Joseph T. Sadie, Mike Fabish and Nicholas Phillips. Commission meetings are open to the public and are hosted on the second Monday of the month at 4 p.m. in Community Room 1 at North Royalton City Hall, 14600 State Road. Please check dates and times before attending as these meetings are subject to change.

The Police Department has also reopened testing for the position of Patrol Officer through the National Testing Network from March 1, 2024 through May 6, 2024. In addition to testing, Police also have their Police Lateral Transfer Program open on an ongoing basis for the position of patrolman. See below:
