Prescription Drug Take Back is Oct. 23
Unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue, leading to potential accidental poisoning, misuse and overdose. Proper disposal of unused drugs saves lives and protects the environment, and the average citizens can help, starting with their own medicine cabinets. The next Prescription Drug Take Back event is Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with two, convenient drop-off locations in North Royalton. Volunteers from our North Royalton Police Department, North Royalton CERT and Students Together Against Negative Decisions (STAND) will be at both the Giant Eagle Plaza at 6000 Royalton Road and the Timber Ridge Plaza at 9371 West Sprague Road. Residents do not need to get out of their vehicles, simply hand off your expired or no unneeded prescription and over-the-counter pills. It speeds up the process to empty the meds into a Ziploc bag. Syringes and liquids are not accepted.
